Turbine Fund
Annually Boddington Parish council is allocated an amount from the Boddington Reservoir Wind Turbine Community Benefit Fund for projects that will enhance the community. The grant commenced in 2014 and will continue for 20 years. The base amount was £2,500 but this has been increased annually based on inflation. The grant may be used by the Parish council or by local community organisations. The uncommitted amount available in the fund forms part of the Parish Council reserves and is reported in the monthly Parish Council minutes.
In order to ensure that this fund is fairly allocated to the community, Boddington Parish Council has a Grant Awarding policy which sets out the criteria and timescales involved for organisations wishing to apply for some of this fund.
An application form is included in the grant awarding policy below.
Events
Voluntary and community events are an important aspect of everyday life that help encourage people to play a more active part in society. They may celebrate a particular occasion, raise funds for a good cause or simply bring people in a community closer together.
Organising a successful event is really all about good planning and taking sensible precautions where necessary. If you are considering organising an event please remember to start planning at an early stage, a minimum of three months is the norm for even a small event. You will need to consult with others on your plans and you will need a budget to cover your costs. Each event is different and will require different levels of management, services and provisions, however, there are elements that are common to all events.
The booking form and site regulations are available below.
