Plans for the Parish


In 2018 a Parish Plan was produced which built upon extensive consultation and analysis of the underlying trends in population.

Since the Plan was produced significant improvements have been made within the parish:
  • A new Playground in Charles Cowper Field was built and in 2019 with a grant from the HS2 Community Fund
  • Extended the car park at Charles Cowper Field to reduce offstreet parking improving safety and access
  • The Village Hall continues to thrive offering a wide variety of social and fitness opportunities for parishioners and local villages. In particular the film club and Friday cafe have become firm favourites.
  • Replaced old expensive street lights with new energy efficient LED lights which is great for the environment and for parish funds
  • Undertaken tree surveys and undertaken the work to improve the safety of the village
  • Building an exciting cycle facility which includes a learn to ride track, bikeability area and an off-road challenge track
