PFCC June 22 Newsletter

Please find attached the June 2022 edition of Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner's newsletter.

In this issue the Commissioner announces his preferred candidate for Chief Fire Officer when current CFO, Darren Dovey retires later in the year. You can read about the new fire appliances recently added to the fleet and how the PFCC is working to ensure the police and fire fleet and estates are fit for the future. This includes details on the recent Sustainability Forum for Police and Fire to consider how both organisations can become carbon neutral. There’s also information on the Mature Driver Roadshow, hosted by Northamptonshire Safer Roads Alliance, that saw more than 70 people participate in the training which is supported by the Commissioner.

This edition outlines some of the latest grants awarded by the OPFCC and encourages anyone interested in applying for a Community Grant to visit the website to find out more. And finally, find out about the Fire Services ‘Have a Go’ sessions, set up to give anyone interested in becoming a firefighter the opportunity to try out some of the practical assessments which form part of the recruitment process. Please do promote these sessions in your communities and through your networks.
