Future of Northants Consultation

Following an urgent invitation from the Government, and because of the need to make local government services more sustainable, Northamptonshire’s eight councils are proposing to reduce the number of councils in the county from eight to two from April 2020. All of the councils are seeking the views of residents, businesses and others about the proposal during a period of public consultation from June 18th to July 22nd.

So please read their documents and take part in the consultation - www.futurenorthants.co.uk

Phillip Knight

Phillip Knight is a representative for Lower Boddington and is a parishioner.

Why have I volunteered and what can I bring to the parish plan process?

Having lived in Lower Boddington for 42 years and raised two children educated at the village school I was pleased to be invited to assist in the Parish Plan process which I see as vital for the future of our community. Together with Joe Street my aim is to try to get the best possible involvement of LB residents in the process.

I am now retired after a career working for international organisations in sales, exporting, marketing, administration and consultancy. In the past I have been involved in PTA work to support the school, fund raising activities for the (old) village hall and some years ago I served on the Parish Council for three years.
